Students
Think you have what it takes for a career in advertising?
If you’re serious about a career in the advertising industry, the 4A’s is serious about helping you make it happen. Through the Multicultural Advertising Intern Program (MAIP), students work at real advertising agencies, take on real job responsibilities, and learn from real-world business situations and industry professionals. Students selected for the annual 10-week paid summer internship program, which runs from early June to mid-August, will hone their skills in one of the following advertising disciplines:
- Account Management
- Art Direction
- Copy Writing
- Broadcast Production
- Print Production
- Digital/Interactive Design
- Media Planning and Buying
- Public Relations
- Program Management
- Strategic/Account Planning
- Traffic
(Not sure which department to choose? Try our What Advertising Agency Department is Right For You? quiz on Facebook.)
In addition, MAIP interns receive a mentor and participate in a host of professional development and networking events. The accomplishments of the intern class are celebrated with a graduation ceremony in New York City at the end of the program. The graduates then get a jump start on their job hunt by attending the 4A’s MAIP Diversity Career Fair, immediately following the graduation.
MAIP graduates continue to receive professional support through their membership in the MAIP Alumni Association. (See the MAIP Alumni page for details and peek at where some MAIP alumni are today.)
